Maia Castro ist mit ihrer Band seit vielen Jahren eine erfolgreiche Tangosängerin in Uruguay, Argentinien und Europa. Kürzlich erhielt sie als weibliche Solistin eine Nominierungen für das beste Album – populäre urbanische Musik – mit “De saltos y otros vientos”. Im Rahmen unseres Festivalitos (27.06. / 28.06.15 ) bekommen wir die einmalige Gelegenheit Maia LIVE in Bremen zu erleben. Maia wird mit ihrer Band zwei Konzerte geben, je Samstag und Sonntag Abend um 21 Uhr im Magazinboden im Schlachthof Bremen. Der Magazinboden bietet eine unheimlich intime Atmosphäre und natürlich kann (und soll) auf dem schwingenden Holzboden getanzt werden! Das sagt Maia selbst zu ihrer Europa-Tour 2015: “The innovative approach to this European Tour 2015 seeks to break the barrier between the audience and the stage by the invitation of the milongas and the tango workshops from the cities to participate in the show by dancing a few songs. The European Tour 2015 will take place in cities like Oslo, Copenhagen, Finland Seinäjoki Tango Festival, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Berlin, Bremen, Warsaw and Krakow. The show consists of 19 songs that compose a repertory that joins the tango and folklore classics, contemporary themes from different genres and original compositions from Maia Castro.
